BANNED! - Republican-Controlled U.S. House of Representatives Passes Bill 226 to 188 That Will Block Future Presidents From ...

WASHINGTON D.C. — In a massive, landscape-shifting victory for President Donald Trump’s "drill, baby, drill" agenda, the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives has officially passed a sweeping bill that completely blocks future administrations from prohibiting oil and gas drilling without the explicit consent of Congress.

The legislation, formally known as the “Protecting American Energy Production Act,” passed in a decisive 226 to 188 vote. Republican House members unanimously voted in favor of the legislation’s passage, while 118 Democrats voted against protecting American energy dominance.

REVERSING THE "WAR ON ENERGY"

The blockbuster bill strictly forbids the president from "declaring a moratorium on the use of hydraulic fracturing unless Congress authorizes the moratorium."

The legislation is a direct, brutal counter-attack against former President Joe Biden, who, just weeks before leaving office, aggressively banned future oil and gas drilling along a staggering 625 million acres of coastal and offshore waters.

Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX), the Republican who introduced the bill, made it clear that the legislation was prompted by the very real threat of unilateral fracking bans.

“When President Biden took office, his administration took a ‘whole of government’ approach to wage war on American energy production, pandering to woke environmental extremists and crippling this thriving industry,” Pfluger stated following the bill’s passage. “My legislation that passed today is a necessary first step in reversing Biden’s war on energy by preventing the federal government from banning the use of hydraulic fracturing.”

The bill works in perfect tandem with President Trump's campaign promises to unleash domestic energy. Simultaneously, Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum has launched massive internal investigations into agency actions that "burden" energy development, officially stripping the energy sector of the "coercive" climate policies and oil lease bans implemented during the previous administration.

THE APPLIANCE WAR: STRIPPING THE D.O.E.

The GOP isn't just protecting oil rigs; they are protecting your kitchen. Late last week, the U.S. House also voted 217-190 to pass a bill that completely removes the Department of Energy’s (DOE) authority to establish endless, mandatory energy conservation standards for household appliances.

Introduced by Rep. Rick Allen (R-GA), the bill amends the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to eliminate the requirement for the DOE to periodically update energy standards. Instead of forcing bureaucrats to constantly invent new regulations, the DOE will only be permitted to amend standards when absolutely necessary.
