The next morning, the hospital's surveillance room was unusually crowded.
Marcus.
Gabriel.
The hospital's legal counsel.
Two police detectives.
And the chief of security.
The first recording showed Isabella following Khloe into the private suite.
There was no argument.
No provocation.
Khloe repeatedly asked Isabella to leave.
Then came the shove.
The kick.
The detectives exchanged grim looks.
"That's felony assault," one of them said.
But the footage wasn't over.
Another camera from the underground parking garage appeared.
Marcus frowned.
"Why are we watching this?"
The technician fast-forwarded.
At 10:47 p.m., Isabella walked into the garage.
One minute later...
A black luxury sedan pulled beside her.
The driver stepped out.
Marcus felt his stomach twist.

Ryan Caldwell.
His longtime financial advisor.

The video showed Isabella kissing Ryan passionately before climbing into his car.
The timestamp was only thirty minutes before the attack.
Marcus said nothing.
The next recording was even worse.
Audio from a hallway microphone caught part of their conversation before they entered the garage.
Ryan laughed.
"After tonight, Marcus will never question us again."
"And once Khloe loses the baby," Isabella replied casually, "he'll be too broken to notice where the company money went."
Silence consumed the room.
Gabriel slowly removed his glasses.
One detective quietly stopped the video.
"Mr. Thorne..."
"This is no longer just an assault investigation."
"It now involves conspiracy and financial fraud."
Marcus closed his eyes.
The woman he'd almost married...
The man he'd trusted with billions...
