CHAPTER 3 — The Mother Who Was Buried Alive

CHAPTER 3 — The Mother Who Was Buried Alive
The ballroom lights suddenly felt colder.
The man stepped away from the crowd, staring at the image like it was burning into his skin.
The girl followed him.
Small footsteps. Hesitant.
“Are you mad at my mommy?” she asked softly.
He didn’t answer.
Because the woman in the photo wasn’t just alive.
She was wearing the same silver crest.
In a hospital room labeled:
“Restricted: Whitmore Family Medical Wing.”
A place that did not exist publicly.
The woman in blue rushed toward him.
“You’re being manipulated,” she snapped. “That child is a setup. A scam.”
But he raised his hand.
“Stop talking.”
His voice was different now.
Controlled.
Dangerous.
He turned to the crowd.
“Everyone leave.”
No one moved.
Then his next words broke the entire room.
“If this crest was never meant to leave the vault… then someone in this room authorized it.”
Silence.
The woman in blue went pale again.
Because she understood what that meant.
An internal betrayal.
A leak from the highest level of the family.
The girl tugged his sleeve.
“Mommy said if anyone saw the crest… it means she might be in danger.”
The man knelt.
“Where is your mother now?”
The girl hesitated.
Then whispered:
“She told me not to say… but she’s in the place where rich people disappear.”
The man’s blood ran cold.
There was only one place the elite called that.
A private offshore facility.
Owned by his own family.
And run by people who officially did not exist.
Before he could speak—
The ballroom doors slammed shut.
And the security system activated.
A calm automated voice filled the room:
“LOCKDOWN INITIATED.”
The woman in blue smiled for the first time in minutes.
But it wasn’t relief.
It was recognition.
“She was never supposed to survive long enough to have a daughter,” she whispered.
And then she turned to the man.
May you like
“Now you’ve found her.”
“That means they’re coming for all of us.”
